Exponent Private Equity has agreed to acquire Lowell Group from Cabot Square Capital Partners, previously the private equity arm of Credit Suisse First Boston,  for an enterprise value of c. €240m. Lowell Group is one of the leading purchasers of UK impaired retail debt portfolios with face value of debt acquired to date totalling c. €3.25bn. It was founded in 2004 through the acquisition by Cabot Square Capital Partners of Premier Seekers, a UK specialist in retail debt tracing   BNP Paribas acted as exclusive financial adviser to Exponent Private Equity on the acquisition.
